Unidentified man found murdered with skull crushed in Nagpur

Nagpur: An unidentified man was found murdered with his skull crushed at Mokale Layout in Aditya Nagar, within the limits of Wathoda Police Station in Nagpur on Friday. The man had the alphabet ‘T K’ tattooed on his right hand and ‘S’ on his left hand. Police have found the label of an Imambada tailor on his shirt as the only clue so far.

Some labourers had alerted police after discovering the body, likely to be of a man in his mid-30s, in the bush.

He had a gruesome injury on his head, which is likely to have been inflicted with a hard and blunt object. Police said the man is likely to have been murdered elsewhere and the body dumped at the spot. His shoes were missing. As per the police, the man was most probably killed after 9 pm on Thursday.

Without CCTV cameras in the vicinity, cops are left with manual intelligence to fall back upon for clues. Cops are now trying to ascertain if any missing person’s complaints have been registered in any adjoining police stations.

Wathoda Police conducted a spot panchnama and sent the body to Government Medical College & Hospital for autopsy. Though an accidental death case has been initially registered, police are treating the matter with caution as further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of death.

The incident has left the local residents on edge, with many speculating about the circumstances leading to the man’s untimely demise. The police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward as they continue to unravel the mystery surrounding the case.
