Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the Union Budget 2022 on Tuesday, said that 400 new generation Vande Bharat trains with better efficiency will be brought in during the next 3 years.

“400 new generation Vande Bharat trains with better efficiency will be brought in during the next 3 years. 100 PM Gati Shakti Cargo terminals will also be developed during the next three years and there will be implementation of innovative ways for building metro systems,” said Nirmala Sitharaman.
She further added that railways will also develop new products for farmers and MSMEs.
“There will be a ‘one station-one product’ to help local businesses and supply chains,” she added.
A Made in India tablet has replaced the traditional ‘Bahi Khata’ for the second consecutive year. The Union Cabinet approved the Budget, following a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, among others.
