Nagpur: The Union Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad asserted in Nagpur on Thursday that the newly appointed candidates in the service of the Central Government should pay attention to the five principles of continuous study to increase their knowledge, use of new technology, application of their studies in life and society, hard work along with smart work as well as health care..
Bhagwat Karad was speaking at a programme in which appointment letters were distributed to 210 candidates entering the service of the Central Government under Rozgar Mela at Railway Community Hall in Ajni. Aimed at fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolution of providing 10 lakh government jobs in one year, employment fairs have been organized at 45 locations across the country and in this fourth employment fair, more than 71,000 new recruits have been distributed appointment letters at various places across the country.
One of these programmes, the Union Minister of State Bhagwat Karad was present in Nagpur. Tushar Kant Pandey, Divisional Railway Manager of Central Railway, Namita Tripathi, Divisional Railway Manager of South East Central Railway, Post Master General of Nagpur Region Shubha Madhale were mainly present on this occasion. In this meeting, everyone heard the Prime Minister’s speech through video conferencing.
While addressing the newly appointed candidates on this occasion, Bhagwat Karad said that India is the country with the youngest population in the world. The Central Government is paying special attention to create job-giving hands rather than job-seeking hands.
The Central Government has so far organized four Rozgar Melas. Prime minister Narendra Modi distributet about 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted Central Government employees on 13 April. The programme is part of the ‘Rozgar Mela’ drive, under which 10 lakh people are expected to be given jobs in one year.
The Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilment of the Prime Minister’s commitment to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.
The recruits selected from across the country will start at various Central Government posts like Train Manager, Station Master, Senior Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk, Inspector, Sub-Inspector, constable, stenographer, junior accountant, postal assistant, income tax inspector, tax assistant, assistant professor, teacher, librarian, nurse, probationary officers, PA and MTS among others.
