Nagpur: The Vidarbha Economic Development Council (VED) has always worked for the benefit of the people of this region and continues to do so to make life easier for them. Working on those lines, VED has made a demand for the immediate transfer of Sanjiv Tukaram Bhalerao, Jt. Charity Commissioner, Nagpur as citizens are facing a lot of harassment at his hands, said a press release issued by Bharat Parekh, President, VED.

“The Jt Commissioner is not just indecisive, he deliberately takes no decisions for months together which is causing great harassment to the Nagpurians. When decisions are not taken, people’s important work gets stalled for no good reason but that of inordinate and deliberate delay by Bhalerao. Not only does the work not get done, he is also unapproachable and not open to reason. Individuals, NGOs, charitable institutions and trusts are all suffering greatly with work stuck due to his dilly-dallying tactics. Under these circumstances, the best answer to the solution is Bhalerao’s transfer from Nagpur and such action by the GoM must be taken forthwith so that the peoples’ suffering may come to an end. In addition, attention may kindly be drawn to his ulterior motives, if any.”
VED has also made an appeal to the Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, to take cognizance of this problem, intervene with subsequent quick action on the matter and redress the grievance of the public.
