Nagpur: Pachpaoli police on Friday arrested a 22-year-old youth in connection with lifting two-wheelers. Cops also seized two Honda Activa from the possession of accused named as Nilesh alias Mehtab Warkhade, a resident of Ashok Nagar, Gond Mohalla under the jurisdiction of Pachpaoli police station.
Nilesh was nabbed from Vaishali Nagar near Rani Durgawati Square on a tip off from the informers. Police believe some more vehicles could be seized from him during further interrogation. Nilesh worked with a gang involving five to six more persons, the police said. The gang would steal vehicles by giving a jerk to the handle that would break open the lock.

According to police, Warkhade, a history sheeter has several offences registered against him in various other cases. The arrest was carried out under the guidance of DCP Zone III Rahul Maknikar. Senior PI Ashok Meshram, API S S Suruse, PSIs P R Ingle, Sanjay Wandekhe and Constables Aviraj Bhagwat, Sachin Bhimte and Praveen Wakode participated in the drive.
