Nagpur News: In a hit and run case, a young woman struck and killed a man in Sakkardara area on Sunday night. Police said, a vendor was hit at around 5 pm in front of Insurance hospital by a Hyundai car (MH -49 B-7474). The diver then fled the scene, the police said.

The victim was identified as Ramkrishna Narayan Meshram (54), a resident of Galli No. 2, Savitribai Phule Nagar.

Police said, Ramkrishna was going on work when the speeding car driven by Shweta hit him, thus, critically injuring him. He was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him dead.

On the complaint of deceased’s wife Roopa, Sakkardara police booked Shweta and booked a case under sections 279, 337, 338, 427, and 304 (a) of the IPC.
