Who will win the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup of 2023?
The team most likely to win the Cricket World Cup this year is India, the host nation. They are currently the bookies’ odds-on favourite team to win with a 45.50% implied probability rate (IPR). In terms of odds, this IPR means that India is priced, on average, at around 6/5 in the fractional odds format, or 2.20 (decimal odds) and +120 (American/moneyline odds).
Therefore, if you place a $/€/£20.00 bet (or equivalent currency value) right now with these odds for India to win the Cricket World Cup outright, and India ends up winning in the final, you would receive your initial $/€/£20.00 stake back and a profit of $/€/£24.00, giving you a total return of $/€/£44.00.
Star batsman Rohit Sharma is also the current odds-on favourite player to be the top batter/leading run-scorer. He has a 26.70% IPR of being the top batter, which equates to 11/4 (fractional odds), 3.75 (decimal), or +275 (American/moneyline).
The second odds-on favourite team to win is Australia at 5/1. You then have New Zealand and South Africa at 11/2 and England at 8/1.
