Nagpur: Maharashtra Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Sunil Kedar on Sunday announced that a Veterinary Superspecialty Hospital with all modern facilities would be set up for the treatment of animals in Nagpur. He made this announcement while addressing a meeting of scientists, professors and veterinarians of MAFSU.
Kedar further said that government and private veterinarians would come together to provide best possible treatment to the animals in the Second Capital. He asked the concerned officers to submit a proposal for modernization of existing veterinary colleges, world class medical facilities for livestock in Vidarbha.
Instructions were also given to link government and private veterinarians and create better synergy for top class medical facilities etc. The Minister asked the experts to give proposals for setting up of superspecialty hospitals like Mumbai and Pune.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ashish Paturkar, Dean of MAFSU; Sheetalkumar Mukne, Joint Commissioner, Animal Husbandry; Dr. B.R. Ramteke, Dr. Anil Kurkure, Dr. Akhare, Dr. Gawande, Dr. Mahalle, Dr. Yuvraj and others.
