In her presentation, Dr Purohit stressed on the gender inequality and the biased nature of organisations in promoting female employees across organisations, the world over. The bias begins at entry level, disallowing female employees to advance to the next level at the same pace or acceptance as their male counterparts. The “glass ceiling” is only the final hurdle.

Women are here, and they are showing results. “Doesn’t that just make it smart to have women in every CEO pipeline.” But what can be done to grant women more power?

How can the tide be made to flow in favour of the career-oriented, focused women who wish to make a mark in the world? While the world celebrates international women’s day, are we really putting in efforts to enhance the intrinsic value of female employees while extending to them equal career opportunities.

Earlier, on the occasion of 44th Foundation Day of NIPM, Nagpur Chapter, Prof. Sharad Bhave also shared his wisdom on the Back to Basics. He advised failure is a big-time teacher, provided you are willing to learn from it. He stressed that old is gold, only because an employee gets old don’t remove him. Find out innovative ways to utilize his expertise.
