While speaking to Nagpur Today, In-Charge of Bajaj Nagar Police Station Senior Police Inspector Sudhir Nandanwar said that there was a fight between the son of Munna Yadav identified as Karan Yadav and Avdesh Yadav. Both had assaulted each other. Both of the parties were brought to the police station. Since Karan Yadav had sustained injuries, Munna Yadav had reached the police station. Since he was angry, he did shout abuses. However, since it was within the police station, the cops present in the police station prevented them from attacking each other. He also informed that counter cases have been registered against both the parties. He claimed that while offence under Section 32 of Indian Penal Code has been registered against Avdesh Yadav while offence under Section 294 of Indian Penal Code has been registered against Karan Yadav.

While speaking to Nagpur Today, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-I) Deepali Masirkar said that the media is confusing between the sons of Munna Yadav. She claimed that Karan Yadav is the elder son of Munna Yadav and is a student of Engineering. The younger son does have some cases registered against him. In this case Karan Yadav has sustained injuries in a fight between him and the rival party. While answering to a question on Munna Yadav shouting threats and abuses right in the police station which can be seen in CCTV or video footage that is going rounds among media personnel, she said that she will investigate it and if she finds truth in it, she will initiate action against the erring party. She claimed that she is going to Bajaj Nagar Police Station and will be speaking to both the parties to ascertain the truth. DCP Deepali Masirkar claimed that cases have been registered against both the parties. Cases have been registered against section 324 of Indian Penal Code against Avdesh Yadav while cases have been registered under Section 294 of Indian Penal Code against Karan Yadav too.

Partiality alleged
Some of the victim’s family members claimed that when other criminals commit such acts, they are awarded the punishment of externment (Tadipar) or they are awarded punishment under the severe MCOCA laws. Why is it, that Munna Yadav’s sons are exempted from the law? Are they exempted from the law? Is it that they have the protection of some senior heavy-weight leader of the party?

Sources claimed that cases have been registered against the younger son of Munna Yadav in as many as four police stations including Dhantoli Police Station, Pratap Nagar Police Station, Ajni Police Station and today in Bajaj Nagar Police Station. Should he not be considered as a menace to the society?
