Nagpur:A shocking incident of open hooliganism occurred at the Yoga Bar Restaurant in the Kadri area, under the jurisdiction of Kanhan Police Station, Nagpur. Armed goons stormed the establishment, causing significant damage and terrorizing the staff and customers. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, revealing the attackers wielding swords and sticks as they ransacked the restaurant and threatened the bar owner.
The bar owner, Deendayal Bawankule, filed a complaint with the Kanhan Police Station following the attack. In a swift response, the Kanhan police registered a case against the assailants and apprehended them within 12 hours at Kalmeshwar.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Shailesh Nagpure (21, Old Kamptee), Abdul Shah (33, Shanti Nagar), Mayur Borkar (20, Kalamna), Swanil Tolamajre (23, Old Kamptee Road, Kalamna), and Abhishek Gongne (25, Ramtek). Police reported that the gang extorted money from Bawankule and caused damage to the tune of ₹1.52 lakh.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Nagpur Rural Superintendent of Police Harsh Poddar and Additional Superintendent of Police Ramesh Dhumal.
