Nagpur: In a sensational incident, two cops from the Nagpur Police reportedly attacked a Saoji restaurant owner following a dispute over food in the Hudkeshwar area, here on Tuesday.
According to police sources, two cops identified as HC Ramchandra Rohankar and HC Bhooshan, in a drunken state, visited Pipla Phata-based Nimje Saoji at around 4 pm. Over the serving of food, they had an argument with the hotel owner, following which they reportedly thrashed the owner.

Furious over their behavior, the entire village then attacked the drunken cops. The two left Pipla village following a massive beating, sources said.
Taking swift cognizance of the matter, the top brass of Nagpur Police swung into action. Strict action against the two cops is on the cards, sources mentioned.
