Nagpur: Tensions escalated dramatically in Narendra Nagar near Tiny Tots School as a heated dispute between neighbors turned violent, resulting in a disturbing incident involving an axe attack, caught on camera and widely shared on social media.
The altercation, which unfolded within the jurisdiction of Beltarodi Police Station, involves Deepak Deshmukh, aged 50, residing at Plot No. 9, Shree Complex, Narendra Nagar, as the accused, and Anand Joshi as the complainant.
Reports indicate long standing grievances between Deshmukh and Joshi, residents of adjacent plots 9 and 8 respectively, culminated in a physical confrontation on June 19th. Allegedly, Deshmukh initiated the altercation, assaulting Joshi and subsequently attacking him with an axe. The intensity of the altercation and its aftermath were vividly captured in the viral video footage, underscoring the gravity of the incident.
Following the incident, Bharati Joshi, the wife of Anand Joshi, promptly lodged a formal complaint at the Beltarodi Police Station. In response, authorities have filed a case against Deepak Deshmukh under sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. Efforts are currently underway to locate and apprehend the accused, who remains at large.
