Nagpur: A corporate event held at the hotel Le Meridien on Wardha Road took a shocking turn when a semi-nude dance performance was organized, with money being showered on the dancers. The incident has caused a stir within the hotel and restaurant community had occurred reportedly on Sunday.
Video footage obtained by Nagpur Today reveals intoxicated individuals dancing to Bollywood songs while semi-nude performers take the stage.
The video also captures several people in the audience holding currency notes in their hands, with some notes scattered on the floor.
Sources report that the event was a dealers’ meet organized by Suretech company, attracting participation from various dealers in Nagpur. Following the main proceedings, dance performances featuring eight to ten out-of-state girls took place. The intoxicated crowd joined in the revelry, dancing to the tunes. The video footage depicts the girls engaging in explicit dances to entertain the audience.
This is not the first instance of semi-nude dances being organized within the city. Previous incidents have occurred outside the city at resorts, often orchestrated by criminals. However, this marks the first time such an event has been held at an upscale hotel.
Hotel officials have stated, dance performances are common occurrences, whether it be at weddings or corporate events. We ensure all necessary permissions and licenses are obtained before organizing any event, they said.
