Nagpur: Thousands of Muslim women, took out huge peace rally to protest against the Triple talaq Bill which is against Sharia, on Tuesday afternoon in Nagpur. The morcha organised by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board started from the Shrimohini Complex and reached the Samvidhan Square. Board Member Prof Monisa Bushra Abida addressing the women said the Triple talaq Bill is a harassment of women. The bill is unconstitutional, which is a conspiracy hatched to end the Muslim community.
A delegation led by Monisha Bushra Abidi met the district collector and handed him the memorandum of demand.
In this rally thousands of Muslim women were wearing a burkha participated in the morcha. It is said to be the march first of its kind in Nagpur.
