Video: SSB busts sex racket running at Joshi Traders in Phule Market, Nagpur

Nagpur: The Social Security Wing of the Nagpur Crime Branch on Friday busted a sex racket operating under the guise of a wholesale vegetable shop at the famous Phule Market in the Cotton Market area. Besides arresting Joshi Traders owner Jay Mahadev Joshi (42), a resident of Flat No. 21, Ramkrishna Nagar, Umred Road, Dighori, cops have also rescued two women during the raid.

According to police sources, the SSB squad received secret information regarding a sex racket being operated from Phule Market. After confirming the information, cops raided Joshi Traders and found its owner, Jay Joshi, luring gullible women into prostitution by promising them money.

Cops have arrested the accused. An offence under Sections 370 of the IPC, read with Sections 4, 5, and 7 of the Immoral Trafficking Act, was registered against him.

The SSB squad, led by PI Kavita Isarkar, PSI Mahendra Thote, Police Constables Prakash Mathankar, Laxman Chaure, Sheshrav Raut, Ajay Paunikar, Ashwin Mange, and others, made the arrest.
