Video: Youth too enjoy Santoor and music of other classical instruments says Rahul Sharma

Nagpur: Son of a musical legend Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, Rahul Sharma who started playing the Santoor from the age of 13 now plays the 100 stringed Kashmiri Santoor. Having learnt from his father and Guru Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Rahul has taken the santoor into world music with various collaborations. Having palyed more than 60 albums, in various genres, he is still discovering himself. While speaking exclusively with Nagpur Today, Rahul Sharma said that the youth too love classical music and enjoy Santoor. Rahul claimed that he performs with the accompaniment of casio, drums, and other western musical instruments to create fusion music. While the youth enjoy that, they love classical music too.

Kalaapini Komkalli: In an exclusive interview with Nagpur Today, Daughter of Pandit Kumar Gandharva, Kalaapini Komkalli said that she is excited to be participating in the Kalidas Samaroh-2016. She claimed that she loves to be a part of the Kalidas Samaroh and is truly a pleasure to participate and perform in such a function.
