PAINTING was regarded as silent poetry and so proves Suresh Gangakhedkar, an artist from Hyderabad, Telangana. A versatile personality who paints in many mediums like oil, oil pastels, water colours, acrylic, ink and pencil and is also a specialist in Rangoli portraits. He has exibited his paintings in various group shows, Lalit Kala Academy exhibition, State Government exhibitions at Shimla,Himachal Pradesh and in solo exhibitions in the second half of the last century.
This time, he has initiated a major and a solo exhibition after a long time and has specially dedicated it to his mother. It started on 14 October and will be up till 20 October between 12 am to 8 pm at Raja Ravi Verma art Gallery, SCZCC.
Portraits and landscapes are his specialty. Apart from this, he is a great Hindi and Marathi poet and Shayar as well, who converts his poems in paintings and portraits. His paintings indicates hope, peace, woman-power, culture and equality. The main attraction is the portrait of his mother, wife and his friend that is beautifully made by him. View beautiful landscapes like Shimla’s night view, Pind Punjab’s view and a portrait of Shakuntala Bai so beautiful that you will definitely be left mesmerised.
