Vijay Mallya Gets Bail in Extradition Case; UK Court Not Satisfied With Jail Conditions in India

The extradition case of Vijay Mallya has been delayed by the London’s Westminster court as it is not satisfied with jail conditions in India. The UK court has granted bail to Vijay Mallya and next hearing will be on September 12 now. The court has also asked the government to provide videos on jail conditions in India.

Vijay Mallya today arrived in the London Court with his son Siddharth. Indian government has to provide Mallya before entering into the court said that charges against him are absolutely false and he has already made an offer to Karnataka High Court to sell assets worth Rs 14,000 crore. The UK Court today was hearing the extradition trial on charges of fraud and money laundering against Mallya.

Vijay Mallya on June 26 said that he had requested the Karnataka High Court on June 22 to permit him and his holding firm UBHL to sell their assets worth Rs 13,900 crore to repay banks while adding that his requests have not been taken seriously by the government.
