Nagpur: The image of the Maharashtra Police Department continues to be tarnished as more videos surface on social media. Following the recent viral video showing police officers gambling in an intoxicated state at a Nagpur police station, a new video has emerged from Nanded Railway Police Station.
The incident involves officers from Nanded Railway Police Station, led by Assistant Police Inspector Hanumant Panchal. Just last night, Railway SP Swati Bhor of the Aurangabad Range visited the station. Surprisingly, shortly after her visit, around 9 PM, the gambling session began in an upstairs room within the station itself. The video, recorded by an insider, quickly went viral on social media today.
When contacted for verification, Assistant Police Inspector Panchal acknowledged the incident and stated that there would be no leniency for the officers involved. A report will be submitted to senior officials, and appropriate action will be taken. SP Swati Bhor also confirmed that strict measures will be implemented.
Reliable sources identified the officers in the video as Sub-Inspector Garad, Constables Surnar, Bade, Gajbhe, Devre, and Ther. This incident has further damaged the reputation of the police force.
