It is the time for the celebration. It is the time for being happy. The time everyone has been eagerly waiting for. Yes! It is the time to hand over the awards to the most deserved players. So, to do the same, Vidharbha Maheshwari Sports Association held its Award ceremony along with Players Auction ceremony on August 23, 2015.
Sports are an important part of our life. Sports keep a man physically fit. Once someone said that Winning means you’re willing to go longer, work harder, and give more than anyone else, and so are the players at Vidharbha Maheshwari Sports Association. To celebrate the success of the team, everyone seemed to be totally enthusiastic and boosted up. Ask any athlete, they cannot imagine their life without it. It’s part of them, the love/hate relationship. It’s what they live for. They live for the practices, parties, cheers, long bus rides, invitational, countless pairs of different types of shoes, water, Gatorade, & coaches you hate but appreciate. They live for the way it feels when they beat the other team, and knowing those two extra sprints they ran in practice were worth it. They live for the way they become a family with their team, they live for the countless songs they sing in their head while training all those hours. They live for the competition, they live for the friends, the practices, the memories, the pain, it is who they are. It’s who we are.

All the players and team owners along with their wives looked absolutely stunning in the best outfits they wore.
Meanwhile, as the preparations were going on, the singers started singing the well-known song ‘wo sikander hi dosto kehlata hai’and we could feel the aura of success. The event started with lightening of the ceremonial lamp.
Talking Exclusively with Nagpur Today, many of the team owners and the players expressed their views regarding the award ceremony.
Team owner Mahesh Maloo said that the event is very nice. It creates youth talent and bonding. I have been a part of VMSA since 4 years. It creates friendship and bond between all kinds of age groups. We have the opportunity to know people belonging to various fields apart from sports. And also we can help each in various aspects.
Team owner Prashant Mohota said that Auction day is basically a new beginning of a new session. Fate of all team owners get decided on this day where the real talent gets its dew by getting higher prices in the auction.
Praveen Surjan, the committee member said that we always try something new. We are always focused on trying up new things. Due to such associations, unity will increase and result in the youth progress. This will set an example for the youth and boost up the young upcoming sports persons.
The event went off very well managed. Everyone, especially the winners had their family cheering up for them having the glow of glory on their faces.
