A couple sustained severe injuries when a wall near an under-construction water tank under Dhantoli police station collapsed on them on Monday.
According to information, the accused builder Anand Kamlakar Mundle and Sitaram Patel deployed Ashok Ramanlal Srivas (37) to repair the water tank at Vijetion Call Centre building. However, Mundle did not provide the basic security equipments to Ashok and his wife Sunita Srivas (36) who were engaged in the work. While the work was in progress on Monday, a wall near the tank suddenly collapsed at around 5 pm injuring the couple seriously.

Ashok and Sunita were rushed to Getwell Hospital for treatment. Dhantoli police have registered an offence against Anand and Sitaram under Sections 288, 337 and 338 of the IPC.
