Nagpur News: Over confidence and trust on a watchwoman proved too costly for a family when the watchwoman allegedly swept the family’s house and relieved them of booty worth Rs 2,66,000.
According to police, the complainant Pramod Chavan (38), resident of Flat No. S-1, Aditya Tower, Wadi, along with his wife left went outstation on January 26 and handed over keys of their house to the watchwoman. In the meantime, gold ornaments, kept under a wooden bed, were stolen. When Pramod Chavan reached Nagpur on February 11, he noticed the theft of the gold ornaments. Pramod suspects the said 35-year old watchwoman’s hand in stealing the gold ornaments. Wadi police have registered an offence of theft under relevant Section of the IPC and are investigating the matter further.
