Nagpur: Well known Radiologist Dr Kishor Taori aged 61 years passed away at around 1:30 pm on August 31, 2016 at his residence in Ramdaspeth.
Dr Kishor Taori was the former Head of the Radiology Department of Government Medical College and Hospital and immediate Past President of Maharashtra Medical Council. While speaking to Nagpur Today, Dean of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Dr Abhimanyu Niswade said, Dr Taori was ailing with a rare disease called Motor Neuron Disease which is a progressive disease involving degeneration of the motor neurons and wasting of the muscles. His condition started deteriorating from December 2015.
According to family members, he was fed lunch by his wife Dr Bharti Taori (A Pediatrician). After his lunch, he was watching some programme on the television. At exactly 1:30 pm, a masseur who was hired to massage his feet came. When he went into Dr Taori’s room, he called to him and touched his feet, but he did not respond. He immediately called the other family members into the room. Dr Taori’s daughter-in-law who too is a doctor came and examined him. She did not feel any pulse, so the family members called Dr Jay Deshmukh who has a clinic next door. He immediately came and declared Dr Taori dead.
Eye donated
While honouring his request and his pledge to donate his eyes post his death, the family members called the ophthalmologists to remove his eyes.
He is survived by his wife Dr Bharti Taori, two sons Dr Abhijeet Taori and Abhishek Taori and their wives, two younger brothers Krishna Kumar Taori (CMD of K. K. Associates Builders and Developers) and Prem Kumar Taori and a host of relatives and friends from the medical fraternity.
The funeral procession will start from his residence in Ramdaspeth on September 1, 2016 at 11 am and the last rites will be performed at Mokshadham crematorium.
