Nagpur: As the redevelopment work at Nagpur Railway Station gathers pace, divisional authorities have informed about temporary closure of the West side entrance for passenger vehicles. The West side main entrance, located beside the RMS building, will be temporarily closed for passenger vehicle access starting from September 5 until further notice.

This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of passengers and to facilitate the smooth progress of construction activities related to station development. To accommodate passengers, a new entry point for pickup and drop-off services has been established 100 meters from the West side entrance towards Ganesh Tekdi Mandir.

Additionally, a separate car parking entrance will be opened beside the existing main entrance gate. Within the station premises, the current two-wheeler parking and prepaid auto stand will be relocated to the area in front of the RPF office, featuring distinct entry and exit points. Passengers are encouraged to follow the posted signage and allow extra time when arriving at the station to avoid any inconvenience.

This temporary arrangement will remain in effect until the redevelopment work is completed. Passengers are requested to cooperate with the railway authorities and stay updated by checking the official website or contacting the helpline number for any further information. Central Railway’s Nagpur Division has planned a temporary closure of Platform No. 8 at Nagpur Railway Station to facilitate the landing of the new Foot over Bridge (FoB). The platform will be closed from 9 pm of September 6 (Friday) to 5 pm of September 7 (Saturday). The closure is essential to ensure the safe and efficient completion of the FoB landing work. During this period, train services scheduled to halt/originate/terminate at Platform No. 8 will be redirected to other platforms.

Passengers are requested to check the revised train schedules and make necessary arrangements to avoid inconvenience .Additionally, all entrance/exits to the East side of Nagpur Station, that is platform no 8 side, will be blocked. Passengers are requested to use the west side entrance only towards Platform No. 1.

Following trains will be diverted from Platform No. 8 to other platforms during the above work. Train No. 12289, CSMT Nagpur Duronto Express, will be redirected to Platform No. 3. Train No. 22846, Hatia Pune Express, will be redirected to Platform No. 6. Train No. 12152, Shalimar LTT Express, will be redirected to Platform No. 3. Train No. 12106, Gondia-CSMTV Vidarbha Express, will be redirected to Platform No. 3. Train No. 12834, Howrah-Ahmedabad Express, will be redirected to Platform No. 3.

Passengers are advised to note the changes and plan their journeys accordingly.
