What Maharashtra and Nagpur Received in the Union Budget

The recent Union Budget has allocated significant funds for various projects in Maharashtra, aimed at boosting infrastructure, agriculture, and sustainable development. Here are the key allocations:

1. Irrigation Projects in Vidarbha and Marathwada:₹600 crore has been allocated to enhance irrigation facilities in these drought-prone regions, aiming to improve agricultural productivity and water management.

2.Maharashtra Rural Roads Improvement: ₹400 crore will be directed towards upgrading rural road networks, ensuring better connectivity and accessibility for rural areas.

3.Economic Corridor for Inclusive Development: An allocation of ₹466 crore will go towards developing an economic corridor, which is expected to spur inclusive growth and economic activities in the region.

4.Environmentally Sustainable Agriculture Projects: To promote eco-friendly farming practices, ₹598 crore has been earmarked for various sustainable agriculture projects.

5.Maharashtra Agricultural and Rural Transformation Project: This project will receive ₹150 crore, focusing on the overall transformation and development of agricultural and rural sectors.

6.Mumbai Urban Transport Project-3 (MUTP-3):A significant ₹908 crore has been allotted to further develop urban transport infrastructure in Mumbai.

7.Mumbai Metro: With an allocation of ₹1,087 crore, the Mumbai Metro project is set to expand, aiming to reduce traffic congestion and provide a robust public transportation system.

8.Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor:₹499 crore will be invested in this industrial corridor, which is expected to enhance trade and industrial activities between the two major cities.

9.MMR Green Urban Mobility:A sum of ₹150 crore is allocated to promote green and sustainable urban mobility solutions in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

10.Nagpur Metro:The Nagpur Metro project will receive ₹683 crore, aimed at improving urban transportation and reducing traffic issues in Nagpur.

11.Nag River Rejuvenation:An allocation of ₹500 crore will be used for the rejuvenation and cleaning of the Nag River, promoting environmental sustainability.

12.Pune Metro:₹814 crore has been earmarked for the Pune Metro project, facilitating better urban transport in the city.

13.Mula-Mutha River Conservation: ₹690 crore will be directed towards the conservation and rejuvenation of the Mula-Mutha River in Pune, contributing to environmental preservation.
