Nagpur: People are speculating whether Ashish Deshmukh would follow the footsteps of former BJP MP Nana Patole and bid a good bye to his membership of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. During the winter session Ashish Deshmukh was hitting out at Chief MInister Devendra Fadnavis reminding him of his promises made to Vidarbha people. It is said that in coming days he might take a big decision. While addressing a meeting in his constituency he once again crticised his own government. He even hinted at forming a new party for separate Vidarbha state.
Ashish Deshmukh said that the if government does not implement the Swaminathan recommendations and give proper rate for farm products then he would tender his resignation and form his own party. He further said that Nagpur did not need a metro but still this big project was raised. Even unnecessarily cement roads were constructed. He said, it appears that the development is limited only to Nagpur. The development of city does not mean development of Vidarbha. Every village in Vidarbha should be developed. The farmers’ suicide should be stopped, he said.
Deshmukh had criticised the chief minister through a letter during the winter session. He had reached assembly house with his father Ranjit Deshmukh a Congress member. He had not even attended the formal party arranged for the party reptresentatives. He was even issued a notice for this which he has not replied till now. From his behaviour it appears he would turn a rebel in future.
