Nagpur: The winter chill is back as Nagpur on Sunday recorded the lowest minimum temperature in Vidarbha with 12.2 degrees Celsius. For more than a week, the minimum temperature in entire Vidarbha was around 17-18 degrees Celsius due to the presence of moisture in the atmosphere. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the minimum temperature would now further reduce as the weather would remain dry.
Nagpurians felt the winter chill on Sunday as the minimum temperature took a steep dip by 5.6 degrees Celsius in just 24 hours, whereas the maximum temperature was also reduced by 1.8 degrees in 24 hours.
Gadchiroli (13.2 degrees Celsius), Bramhapuri (13.9 degrees Celsius), Wardha (14.0 degrees Celsius), Gondia (14.8 degrees Celsius), Chandrapur (15.4 degrees Celsius), Yavatmal (15.5 degrees Celsius), Amravati (16.1 degrees Celsius), Buldhana (16.2 degrees Celsius), and Akola (18.7 degrees Celsius) reported decrease in minimum temperature on Sunday.
Chandrapur (28.8 degrees Celsius), Gadchiroli (29.6 degrees Celsius), Nagpur (29.2 degrees Celsius), Wardha (29.2 degrees Celsius), and Yavatmal (28.0 degrees Celsius) recorded the maximum temperature below 30 degrees. Other places like Akola (32.8 degrees Celsius), Amravati (31.4 degrees Celsius), Bramhapuri (31.6), and Gondia (30.5 degrees Celsius) recorded a maximum temperature above 30 degrees on Sunday.
