Nagpur: The winter chill is gradually seeping into the urban scapes of Nagpur and the citizens are now feeling the cold bouts, rather slightly. On the intervening night of Thursday and Friday the city reported the temperature of 13.8 degrees Celsius. This was reportedly the lowest temperature of the season so far. In 2016, the lowest for the month was 9.8 degrees while in 2015 it was 14.2 degrees.
The maximum temperature recorded in the city on Friday was 30.6 degrees in the afternoon, which is the second lowest day temperature of the season. Buldhana recorded 29.5 degrees and Amravati 30.4 degrees.
Gondia and Yavatmal recorded minimum temperature of 14 degrees, Brahmapuri and Wardha 15, Washim 15.2 and Buldhana 16 degree. Amravati and Akola were comparatively hotter at 18.2 and 18.3 degrees respectively.
Between November 12 and 16, the night temperature is likely to be around 13 degrees. Between November 12 and 13, the day temperature is expected to be around 31 degrees, and might dip by one degree over the next two days. As per IMD, between November 11 and 13, there will be mainly clear sky and after that sunny days are expected.
The IMD stated that dry weather prevails over the region. Haze, which was mostly prevalent during October, seem to have escaped the atmosphere this month.
