Nagpur: Following the Cyclone Mandous, which had formed in the Bay of Bengal in Arabian Sea, has reached its weakened state, the skies will be cleared in a couple of days and cold will increase, predicted India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Nagpurians are already facing summer-like scenarios in the city, with both minimum and maximum temperature witnessing record high temperatures this December. The temperature, which had increased by 7 to 8 degrees Celsius, is likely to decrease from December 19, according to IMD.
Nagpur has recorded a minimum temperature of 20.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday, which is a whopping 7.8 degrees Celsius above normal. Akola recorded the highest minimum temperature at 22.6 degrees Celsius, which is 9.3 degrees Celsius above normal.
In all neighboring districts of Nagpur, the night temperature has risen by 7 to 8 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Wardha received 12.2 mm rain on Wednesday night. In Nagpur the sky was overcast all day but there was no rain.
