In the cabinet expansion, the allies from Shiv Sena Maha-aghadi and others are increasing pressure to step into cabinet. Shiv Sena is already displeased with step-motherly treatment, but it is helpless to do anything due to stern attitude of BJP. However, the Chief Minister has assured that the interest of all allies will be defended.

The officials in the administration, who should have by now started handling of their responsibilities of the winter session, are awaiting the expansion of cabinet. At present, the cabinet consists of 18 cabinet rank ministers and 12 ministers of state. Deogiri bungalow is going to remain vacant in this session as it happens to be the official accommodation of Deputy Chief Minister, but there is no deputy chief minister in the Devendra-cabinet as on this date.

It may be mentioned that both the speaker of Vidhan Sabha and the chairman of Vidhan Parishad had recently visited the city in order to ensure preparations for the winter session by November 30. Accordingly, all preparations are being made. While telephone lines would be updated, there would be requirement of rvehicles, which are likely to arranged from various departments of the government in advance.

At the same time, the general booking process in Ravi Bhavan, MLA House and other places is stopped. Cottages and Special Rooms will be reserved for Ministers and MLAs/ MLCs.
