Woman commits suicide after being tortured, perpetrator booked

In a bizarre case that occurred in the jurisdiction of Kalamna police station, a married woman named Vandana Arvind Gujarkar, 29, committed suicide after being tortured by one Deepak Ashok Sahare, 25, a resident of, New Hanuman Nagar, Behind Tirupati Kirana, Bharatwada.

Vandana had eloped with Deepak Sahare a month back. One month later, she informed her husband, complainant, Hansraj Gujarkar, 29, that she was being cruelly treated by accused, Deepak Sahare. Due to this inhuman torture, she returned home on June 25, 2014 and immolated herself on June 25, 2014, between 9 to 9-46 hours in front of their house with kerosene.

On the report of the complainant police sub-inspector, Vaidya of Kalamna police station has registered offence under section 306 of IPC against the accused.
