Nagpur: A 28-year-old woman ended life by hanging herself from the ceiling fan on Monday with her scarf at Gajanan Nagar in Dhantoli within a week of her second marriage.

Deceased Abshad Sheikh was a widow with a six-year-old daughter. Her first husband had died around a year ago.

Cops from Dhantoli police station said Abshad had got married on January 9. She had come to her parents’ place for a post-marriage ritual on January 13.

No suicide note was found. A case of accidental death was registered at Dhantoli police station.
