Women alleged fraud by ration shop owner

Nagpur News : There was a chaos at Pachpaoli police station area on Friday afternoon after a large number of women gathered protesting against a ration card shop owner. The women claimed that the shop owner would cheat them while giving them kerosene and other household materials.

The protestors claimed that the shop owner would allegedly use other measuring vessels to give kerosene and same with the sugar as well.

“This has been going form past many months. We never raised our voice but now it’s beyond the limits,” said one of the protestor. More than fifty women had submitted a written complaint at Police station with their signatures on it demanding police action against the shop owner.

However, police said that it’s due an old rivalry of some residents with shop owners. Cops informed that the shop owner also reached police station giving explanation to the allegations made by the women.
