Nagpur: Rashtrasant Tukdoji Cancer Hospital & Research Centre has been in service for the people since last 48 years. RST caters to both preventive and curative aspects of cancer, specially for cancer specific to women i.e. breast and other cervical cancer.
A rise has been observed in cases of cancer specific in women in recent years. A CME was organized to increase awareness about the benefits of early diagnosis and newer techniques in screening cancer. This CME was jointly organized by Cancer Relief Society,Indian Medical Association and Nagpur Obstetric Gynaecological Society. At the start of the program participants were welcomed by Dr. Kartar Singh, Director of RSTCH, Nagpur. Dr. Geeta Manjunath, Founder of CEO and CTO of NIRAMAI Health Analytix spoke on ‘NIRAMAI Thermalytix Breast Screening Machine’ which is useful for early detection of breast cancer.
The other keynotes speakers were Dr. Mukesh Bang, Dr. Mayur Daigavane, Dr. Prashant Dhoke, Dr. Hemlata Sherke & Dr. Madhuri Gawande, They oriented participants about newer techniques in treatment of ca. cervix and ca. breast.
Dr. Warsha Dhawale (NOGS president), Dr. Sunita Lawange, Dr. Govind Verma, Dr. Sameer Jahagirdar, Dr. Sarita Tajpuriya, Shri Anil Malviya (Secretary CRS), Dr. B. K. Sharma, Dr. Vijay Mahobia, Dr. Prasanna Joshi, Dr. Chahande, Dr. Neha Bhargava, Dr.Revu. Shivakala were prominent attendese in the program.
