Nagpur: Yet another middle aged man has been attacked murderously for refusing to give money for liquor as demanded by a criminal. The awful incident occurred in Old Bagadganj area of the city on Saturday night. The accused goon has been booked and a search is to nab him.
According to police, the victim Mahesh Mehersingh Pande (40), resident of Kumbhartoli, Old Bagadganj, Nagpur, was standing near Mama Panthela around 11.15 pm on Saturday. At the same time, the accused goon Sachin alias Jalya Nagdive (35), resident of Hiwri Nagar Slums, approached Mahesh Pande and demanded money from him for consuming liquor. However, Mahesh Pande flatly refused to part with the money and started walking home. When he reached in front of Maa Annapurna Electric Works on Old Bhandara Road, the accused Sachin Nagdive came there and, whipping out a knife, stabbed Mahesh just below both the lungs with an intention to kill him and fled the spot. The critically injured Mahesh Pande was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital where he is battling for life.
Nandanvan PSI Koyalwar has booked the accused goon Sachin alias Jalya Nagdive under Section 307 of the IPC and searching for him.
