Nagpur News : Horror struck a cousin when her sister jumped into Ambazari lake and attempted to end her life. The incidence took place on Wednesday night but body of the deceased was fished out only on Thursday morning.
The deceased Shilpa Vitthal Parteki, aged 21, was a resident of Mankapur. On Wednesday evening, Shilpa went for a walk to Ambazari lake with her cousin. She suddenly made a jump into the lake leaving a horror stricken sister. Her sister immediately informed parents of the deceased who informed Ambazari police. Ambazari PI Anil Katkade along with Deputy Commissioner P P Choudhary reached the scene in no time. The body could not be fetched out as it had gone dark. Her body was fished out early Thursday morning by diver Jagdish Khare.

Police recovered a suicide note from Shilpa’s bag. In the letter, she apologised for her extreme step and wrote that no one should be blamed for her decision, the police informed. Cops have registered a case of accidental death and investigations are under way for the same.
