Nagpur: The spate of road accidents continues to claim lives in Second Capital of State. In another tragic incident, a rashly driven truck knocked a young girl dead near Bhilgaon Naka No. 2 on Kamptee-Nagpur Road on Tuesday morning. Ironically, the victim girl was to going to HDFC Bank city with job offer.
The deceased has been identified as Arpita Narendra Borkar (21), a native of Kanhan.

According to police sources, Arpita on her Activa moped (MH/40/AS/5240) was on way to Nagpur with job offer letter from HDFC Bank. However, midway near Bhilgaon Naka No. 2 a recklessly driven truck dashed her Activa from behind. The impact was so forceful that Arpita fell on the road and sustained severe head injuries. She died on the spot before any medical assistant could be extended to her.
Police have booked the unidentified truck driver under Sections 279, 304(A) of the IPC and also seized the truck. Further probe is underway.
