Nagpur News: A young girl was raped while a minor girl was molested in separate incidents in city under Ajni and Sonegaon police station areas. In the first incidence, a 23-year-old girl lodged a complaint with Ajni police that accused Naresh Damaji Ganjewar (32), a native of Shivasavanga, Kondhali has outraged her modesty on March 30, 2013. Police said, the girl knew Naresh for quite some time and was friendly with him. Taking advantage of her friendship, Naresh outraged her modesty on March 30 and threatened to kill her if she tells anyone about the incidence. The girl finally lodged a complaint with Ajni Police. Ajni police booked the accused and registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC. Cops have started a hunt for the accused.
In another incidence, a 17-year-old teenager has lodged a complaint at Sonegaon Police Station against accused Abrar Shakil Farookhi for eve-teasing. The accused, Abrar is a resident of Bhutiya Darwaza, Mahal. The girl alleged that the accused used to pass cheap comments on her and tried to forcefully talk to her. On Thursday, the accused followed her and stopped her. He tried to give her a love letter and a mobile phone. When the girl refused to take his gift, he started abusing her. Finally, frustrated with all the incidents, the girl lodged a complaint with Sonegaon police station. Cops have booked the accused and have launched a hunt to nab him.
