Nagpur: A young girl and an unmarried woman committed suicides in different ares of city on Monday. The reasons behind both taking the extreme steps could not be ascertained.
Kavita Ravindra Madavi (21), resident of Plot No. 42, Nagarik Layout, Vaibhav Nagar, Wadi, ended her life by hanging to ceiling hook with the help of a sari around 4 pm on Monday. A team of Gittikhadan police led by PSI V V Narwade reached the spot on being informed about the incident by Ravindra Madavi (41) and started their investigation. After paper formalities, Kavita’s body was sent to Mayo for autopsy. A case of accidental death has been registered and further probe is underway.
In other incident, a 34-year old unmarried woman Shraddha Jagannath Darwade, resident of Plot No 21, Rajgruha Nagar, Nari Road, committed suicide by hanging to ceiling fan with the help of a sari. Jaripatka API Wagh, based on information of Abhijit Jagannath Darwade (28), registered a case of accidental death and launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
