Nagpur News : A young girl was waylaid and robbed of her gold ornaments and watch collectively worth Rs 15,300 under the jurisdiction of MIDC police station on Tuesday evening. The young girl Nisha Sudhakar Meshram, aged 20, was heading back home from her college on her Duo scooterette (MH 31 DL 4280).
Four youths, aged between 25 and 30, stopped her in front of Ghanshyam warshe’s house, Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar and demanded for money. However, the youths snatched away her gold and silver ornaments and her Titan watch collectively worth Rs 15,300 when she refused to hand over the money. The youths threatened her on knife point.
On the basis of Nisha’s complaint, MIDC police registered an offence under Sections 392, and 34 read with sub sections 135 of MPA and booked the accused.
