Youth arrested for making fake promise of marriage to minor girl

Nagpur News: Ajni Police arrested a youth for cajoling a 16-year-old girl of false marrying promise. According to police, Himanshu Pramod Bhagwat (20), a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Ajni, was in affair with a 16-year-old girl Shikha (name changed). He made a fake marriage promise to her and took her to his place.

When Shikha’s parents came to know about this, they rushed to Himanshu’s place and brought Shikha back. On the complaint of Shikha and her parents, Ajni Police arrested Himanshu and registered an offence under Sections363 and 366 (A) against him. Further investigations are under way.
