Nagpur: New Kamptee Police have booked a youth allegedly for raping an 18-year-old girl at her house here, on Tuesday evening. The accused identified as Abhishekh Pramod Uikey has been absconding since the incident. However, cops have booked him under Sections 376, 452, 323, 504 of the IPC in this connection and launched the manhunt of the accused.
Speaking to Nagpur Today, New Kamptee Police Inspector Santosh Vairagade informed that, the accused Abhishekh and the victim were known to each other since college.

“The duo shared a relationship in the past. However, the victim had stopped talking to Abhishekh from quite some time now. On Tuesday at around 5 pm, Abhishekh reportedly barged inside the victim’s house when her parents away and committed the heinous crime. The victim, later narrated her ordeal to her mother. Following which they approached New Kamptee Police Station with a complaint,” PI Vairagade said.
Though, the accused Abhishekh has been absconding since the incident and even his cellphone is being turned off, the PI mentioned.
