Youth Congress demands action from CM to strengthen its arm

Nagpur News: The office bearers of the Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress met the Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan during the recently concluded winter session of state assembly. The members updated the Chief Minister on various activities of Youth Congress.

Rajeev Satav, president of All India Youth Congress demanded that the youths of Maharashtra must be given priority as per their eligibility in the appointment in various government committees.

This would raise the enthusiasm of the youth as well as strengthen the organization, Satav emphasized. Satav also demanded the CM to instruct all the state ministers to accompany the city or district president while visiting to concerned cities in the state.

CM assured Satav that the youth from state would be primarily considered for every opportunity and would also direct the ministers to take the youth congress office bearers in confidence before they proceed to make a visit in their city or town. Chavan also stressed that youth congress need to be strengthened in view of upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the year 2014.

During the meeting, the Nagpur City Youth Congress President Sameer Meghe gave the first, second and third prizes for the essay writing competition held on the topic of “beti bachao” (save the girl child).
