Nagpur: Wadi Police in Nagpur on Sunday arrested a youth for allegedly sexually assaulting and threatening a minor girl.
Identified as Sahil Siddharth Nitnawre (19), the accused is a resident of Defence Colony, Wadi. Sahil befriended the 17-year-old girl and established a physical relationship with her. He then allegedly sexually exploited the girl between August 8, 2021 and August 11, 2024 after threatening her of dire consequences. He assaulted the victim and also recorded her obscene video. Sahil then uploaded her video on social media and made it viral. He also forwarded the video to the victim’s relatives and also issued life threats to her parents.
Following the victim’s complaint, police registered a case under Sections 376, 376(2)(n), 315, 506, 323 of the Indian Penal Code, read with Sections 4, 6, 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, against Sahil.
