Nagpur: A 35-year-old metro truck driver was beaten to death by a youth over unknown reasons in a broad day light near Yashwantrao Chavhan College of Engineering (YCCE) on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Hemant Prabhakar Warke (35) resident of Jaitala.
MIDC police have booked accused Jitendra Tejesingh Waghmare (24) resident of Jaitala under section 302 of IPC regarding this matter.

As per the details, Hemant was waiting at puncture shop near YCCE at around 12 pm when the accused approached him.
The accused first accosted the victim and later took iron pipe from the shop and started hitting blows on Hemant’s head and chest. Leaving him soaked in blood, accused fled from the spot.
Hemant was admitted to Lata Mangeshkar hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while being operated.
