Nagpur: Two more rape incidents were reported in the city. A youth from Uttar Pradesh exploited a girl sexually with marriage promise and another called a girl to his flat and committed the heinous crime.
The accused youth from Uttar Pradesh has been identified as Priyank Anilkumar Gupta (25), native of Yerva, Katra (UP) but presently staying in Imamwada area of city. The accused Priyank trapped a 25-year old girl of the same locality by doling out marriage promise and raped her frequently over a period from June 2015 to August 2015. However, when the girl insisted for marriage, the accused Priyank bluntly turned down her demand. Taken aback by the refusal, the girl approached Imamwada police and filed a complaint against the accused.
The Lady PSI S D Hirode has booked the accused Priyank Gupta under Sections 376, 417 of IPC and investigating the case further.

In another incident, the accused Prateek Vinod Thool (28), resident of Pioneer Green Apartment, Akar Nagar, coming under Ambazari Police Station jurisdiction, called a 17-year old girl to his flat on one pretext or the other at about 7.45 am on Thursday. When the unsuspecting girl went to Prateek’s flat, he raped her.
Ambazari API S V Jhamre, acting on a complaint filed by the victim girl, has registered an offence against the accused Prateek Vinod Thool under Sections 376 of IPC read with Sub-Sections 3(A), 4, 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
