Youths involved in violent attack over old rivalry

A youth sustained grievous injuries after he was attacked by four men over an old rivalry near Railway crossing gate, in Pachpaoli area on Sunday night. Cops have arrested two culprits in attempt to murder while two others are booked for the same.

According to information, the 23-year-old youth Sunny Budela, a resident of Thakkargram, Sweeper Colony, Pachpaoli had some issues with Lalit Ramdas Samudre (38), resident of the same area. The two had heated exchanges on several occasions in the past, following which Sunny’s brother Omprakash Arjapure had attacked Lalit and his friend in an attempt to take revenge.

In a fit of rage to avenge the attack, Vikky alias Vikrant Ramdas Samudre (34), resident of Thakkargram and Lalit along with their two mates attacked Sunny and left him seriously injured. He sustained injures on his hands, head, face and legs. He is undergoing treatment in a Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital.

Pachpaoli police registered an offence under Sections 307 and 34 of the IPC and arrested Lalit and Vikky while booked the other two.
