Nagpur: A wicked youth by his equally wicked action not only damaged a girl’s marriage prospects but forced her to commit suicide in humiliation.
It may be recalled that the girl Priti Shyamrao Pulliwar (21), resident of Siraspeth, Nagpur, had committed suicide on May 29, 2015 by jumping into a well situated in Chandan Nagar locality. At that time, Imamwada police had registered a case of accidental death and launched a thorough probe.
A sustained investigation, however, revealed that Priti’s marriage was fixed with Vishnu Yelcharwar, resident of Dongargaon, Taluka Nagbhid. On the marriage day, the accused Shyam Suresh Taiwade (23), native of Jitkheda, Tehsil Pandhurna, District Chhindwada (MP) but presently staying in Chandan Nagar, mischievously sent a message on bridegroom Vishnu’s mobile phone which said “Do not marry with Priti. I am in love with her.”
The mischievous message created havoc in the life of Priti on her marriage day as the ceremony was cancelled. The girl could not bear the embarrassment and humiliation caused by the wicked message and she ended her life by jumping into the well. Subsequent to the probe revelation, Priti’s father Shyamrao Pulliwar (44) lodged a complaint with Imamwada police against the accused.
API Bele has now booked the mischievous accused Shyam Suresh Taiwade under Section 306. Further investigations are underway.
