Zakat Centre India Nagpur unit hosts Iftar and Dinner event

Nagpur: The Zakat Centre India (ZCI) Nagpur Unit hosted a grand Iftar and Dinner event on the evening of Sunday, March 17 at Dawat Lawns, New Gandhi Layout, Jafar Nagar, Nagpur. The event was aimed to bring together donors, supporters, and beneficiaries of ZCI to celebrate the spirit of giving and solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan.

The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Khawaja Izhar Ahmed, Secretary-General of ZCI Nagpur. He extended his gratitude to all attendees for their generous contributions and unwavering support towards the noble cause of Zakat.

Following the welcome address, Dr. Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Joint Secretary of ZCI, presented the yearly report highlighting the organization’s accomplishments and impact on the community. Dr. Khan shared inspiring success stories of beneficiaries who were empowered financially through Zakat assistance. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in achieving the organization’s goals and announced the target for the year 2024-25 to collect a significant amount to uplift the underprivileged and create a poverty-free community.

The event continued with a summing-up session led by Adv Firdous Mirza, the Vice President of ZCI. Mirza reiterated the organization’s commitment to serving humanity and expressed gratitude to the donors for their continuous support. Dr. Aziz Khan, the President of ZCI Nagpur, concluded the session by thanking all attendees for their contributions towards the noble cause of Zakat.

The evening concluded with a sumptuous dinner, where attendees had the opportunity to network and strengthen bonds of community and compassion.
